Greeting from the road to Bonnaroo! My trip home from Boston was relatively uneventful, save the failure of my A/C and the never ending ticking of my turn signal for around a hundo miles. Brutal. I managed to get a fellow in Cumby to rig up my turn signal to stop ticking on the cheap, but the A/C will have to wait. Most likely indefinitely.
Trip from Cumberland to Charlotte was magnificent! Absolutely gorgeous. Especially the New River Gorge (see what I did there). The absolute natural beauty of WV and western VA never fails to amaze me, even with the intermittent strip mine.
Many props to Emerson, my faithful copilot, for taking the reins with our sweet 30-foot 'bago after we picked it up in Charlotte. After a 3-hour jaunt in Walmart, we have picked up most of our crew (Kelly and the double Joeys) and are en route to the 'roo, Venga Boys blasting on my portable iPod speakers (naturally). I don't expect to have any service there and will update you when (if) I return.
(This post is dedicated to Lisa Mao, for without her facebook peer pressure it never would have happened.)
